THE COMPLEX HUMAN
"For we are just humans fuelled with crazy expectations and wild emotions"
I wrote a letter recently and this was a line that has stuck with me since, the human body is complex and I am yet to find a word that could describe the mind. The way a human feels emotionally, the way our heart can pull us in a direction that our brain is working overtime to pull away from. The way our heart can persuade us to do something we know so deeply that we shouldn't do.
The way in which people connect to one another is fierce, there are people I did not know existed 12 months ago that mean the world to me today, and there are people I would have done anything for 12 months ago that I no longer speak to today. People I have know 12 months know more about my life then some I have know 12 years. I do not believe time is ever a factor in building a relationship similarly you can not force a natural connection. Some people are made to be friends and some are not, you do not hold that power.
That feeling where your heart is heavy, it seems to beat a little slower and with every beat your breath shortens. An ache you cant seam to move, a feeling you cant shrug off. How would you describe this?
That feeling where your head knows, but your heart still hurts.
As humans we love the known, and the unknown can be scary.
As humans we have to get comfortable with the unknown, come to love it.
For we all want to feel, safe, secure, valued and loved.
