ZACH

Zach is a 25 year old law student, brother, son, friend and more. I do not remember a time in my life without Zach, from play dates, birthday parties and the best halloween parties EVER. Zach and his family were always there. I have always known Zach as someone who is kind, caring, bold and ambitous. Someone who is always a smiling face with an infectous laugh. A down to earth soul who deserves the world.

In June 2019 things changed for Zach, a sudden seizure led to the diagnosis of a brain tumour. (WHO Grade two - Astrocytoma). At 21 years old Zach traveled to Melbourne a 1700km drive from home to undergo an 'awake craniotomy' (brain surgery while fully awake and conscious).

In February 2022 the tumour had regrown and Zach underwent a second 'awake craniotomy' down in Melbourne.

After a seizure September 2023, Zachs medical team were concerned that the tumour was regrowing. Scans in the December of 2023 confirmed the tumour was growing and February 2024 scans revealed the tumour was growing faster then expected.

March 2024 Zach underwent his third Craniotomy in Melbourne, removing as much of the tumour as possible. With the tumour now growing directly in the 'motor path' removing the tumour fully would cause 'paralysis' of his body. With pathology results revealing the tumour has turned 'aggressive and fast growing' (WHO Grade 4 Astrocytoma Brain Cancer)

Zach is now preparing for 12 months of chemotherapy and radiation, after putting his law degree on the back burner, this young chap has one mission to concur now, and that is to beat brain cancer.

FACTS

  • 2000 Australians are diagnosed with brain cancer YEARLY
  • 0.75% chance for Males and 0.48% chance for Females by the age of 85
  • There are over 100 types of brain cancer
  • Brain cancer causes more deaths in Australians than any other cancer

Brain cancer is a devil no one wants to fight, for it is fierce and tough. Zach is stronger, tougher and ready to fight this battle. With a fierce Mum and incredable support from family and friends I know there will be no backing down.

Its our turn to support Zach and brain cancer research for Australians also fighting this devil. After a week of lying in bed every night trying to find a way I can support I have decided to release TEN new images on Glass, Canvas or a framed print. With 100% of all profits going directly to Zach and Australian Brain Cancer research.

In purchasing a beautiful artwork to hang on your wall you will be helping Zach and countless Australians in a battle no one is ever prepared for.

Count your lucky stars and smile often.
